Professional Mediator

Nadja’s mediation practice comprises executive, workplace, commercial, intergovernmental, and cross-cultural conflict situations. She is listed in the International Who’s Who Legal of Mediation. Nadja is co-founder of Conflict Coaching International, offering conflict management design for industry groups and organisations, conflict coaching for individuals and teams. 

Her mediation approach is tailored to both the disputants and the nature of the dispute. Comfortable with facilitating two-party and multi-party disputes with large numbers of people, Nadja employs a variety of interventions, depending on context. She has logged several thousand mediation hours, along with a robust practice in multi-party and group facilitations.

Nadja graduated with honours in law and dispute resolution degrees from Australia, Austria and Germany —BA/LLB (Qld), Dip Internat. (Vienna), LLM, D.Jur. (Tübingen)— and is familiar with practice in common law and civil law jurisdictions.

She sits on international mediation panels in Singapore (SIMC), Hong Kong (HKMAAL), and Australia (National Mediator Standards Board) and practises in both English and German.

Nadja is a sought-after keynote speaker for international conferences and events. An award winning educator, Nadja conducts masterclasses internationally in negotiation, mediation and conflict coaching, in addition to internationally recognised IMI accreditation programmes in mediation and mediation advocacy. 

Nadja was appointed Academic Director of SIDRA, the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy, a platform dedicated to global thought leadership and educational expertise in negotiation and dispute resolution.

Nadja is Honorary Professor of Law at the University of Queensland, Australia, and a Senior Fellow at the Dispute Resolution Institute, Mitchell Hamline School of Law in the United States.

She has also been been named one of Australia’s top five law academics by Business Woman Magazine. Nadja previously held full professorships in Australia and Hong Kong and in the 1990s won Australia’s coveted national award for university teaching in law.

Nadja has designed and conducted approved mediator accreditation training as lead trainer in a variety of countries since 1994. She has trained and coached thousands of people in the 40-hour mediator accreditation programme and has also assessed mediators for accreditation in a variety of jurisdictions in Asia, Australia and Europe.

Nadja has held visiting professorships at universities in the US, South Africa, Europe and Asia. She has designed and delivered modules in:

Nadja is a multi-award winning writer. She has published more than 10 books and 100 papers on conflict management topics and her work has been translated into Chinese, Arabic, German, French, Russian and Dutch. Nadja is editor of the international book series, Global Trends in Dispute Resolution and co-editor of the Kluwer Mediation Blog and 谈判 Tán Pàn the Chinese-English Journal on Negotiation. Nadja has been the recipient of numerous research and writing awards including a Humboldt Research Fellowship at the Max Planck Institute of Foreign and Comparative Law in Germany.
